I forgot how tiny and amazing a brand new baby is until I did Cruz’s newborn session. He was totally laid-back through the entire 90 min I was there and was very interested in the clicking camera. One of my easiest baby subjects ever! He is going to be one cool kid when he grows up. Oh, and did I mention, he has the most awesome hair? Congratulations on your new baby, Melinda and Pilar! Enjoy the photos!

Stella has the cutest, “smiling-est” eyes I’ve ever seen and I had such a great time photographing her indescribable sweetness last weekend. Her parents are friends of mine and we had a great time capturing the family love and this awesome phase in Stella’s life. She’s really working hard on new skills like crawling and tooth-growing
, has a happy demeanor, and loves to hear her daddy sing her name.

Julio and I were SO excited to shoot Marie and Jorge’s wedding. After a fun engagement shoot downtown with them, I couldn’t wait to see what they would come up with for their big day. And boy it was not only fun but also creative, emotional, totally personalized and beautiful. My favorite part of the day was the Mariachi band that serenaded each table of guests at the reception and kept the mood happy and lively. My other favorite part of the day was arriving at St. William’s. Oh. My. Goodness. When I opened the doors to the church, I was just blown away. Sections of the ceiling are painted a vibrant blue and the architectural detail is stunning. And my last favorite part of the day (I can have 3 favorites, right?) was the dancing- Marie and Jorge were so sweet to see together and their friends and family were so celebratory. Everyone had a spin on the dance floor and DJ Baby G kept things jumping- particularly Jorge- who was tossed 15 feet (I’m not even exaggerating!) into the air by his friends. Congratulations, Marie and Jorge! Thanks for including Julio and I in your day and we hope you love the photos!

This wedding was gorgeous! Laura’s dressing room was tiny but so pretty with a huge mirror and natural light that made for great pictures. In fact, the entire 2nd floor was just plain cool. So much history and so ornate. The ceremony was outside in a sunken stone courtyard and it totally felt like we were in an old european estate. Afterwards, the reception spilled into the rest of the house and balconies. Everyone had a fabulous time dining and dancing. My favorite part of the night was when Laura’s dad got onstage with his band and TOTALLY rocked the house! Check out the 2nd to last photo- of him singing his heart out. Laura and Chris- you guys were so much fun to photograph! It was so great to see such a cool couple so in love and be able to document your special day for you! Congratulations and enjoy the photos!

I was TOTALLY impressed with the way this wedding was pulled together. It was beautifully done and truly was a labor of love from family and friends. Brianna’s aunt did the flowers, her sister made the cakes, and her friends and her mom made the centerpeices and decor. Brianna and Charles and their families were all so wonderfully welcoming and sweet that I felt like an invited guest and I totally enjoyed photographing everyone. My favorite part of the night was watching Brianna and her Dad during their dance. They both just glided across the floor and the twirling and spinning was magnificent! Congratulations, guys and enjoy your photos!

Despite the rain, or maybe because of the rain, this was a totally beautiful, intimate wedding night. The ceremony was warm and cozy with soft lighting and everyone in attendance was obviously a close relation or family friend. It just felt happy and relaxed.
The reception was in a pavillion out back with good music and mingling. Everyone had a fantastic time. Instead of cake, the couple served Cake Balls! I decided to use a couple of these tasty treats to take photos of the rings and since I had to touch them and everything I couldn’t just put them back on the plate for the guests, you know! Oh my goodness- YUM! I was ready to slide the whole plate of them into my mouth… but I’m not that kind of person.
All in all, a lovely wedding night that will be remembered by all in attendance. Congratulations, Katherine and Garrett and enjoy your photos!

Another GORGEOUS bride! We are so lucky at Studio563 as we seem to be cornering the market on the prettiest brides in central TX!
Julio, Matthew and I totally enjoyed shooting this wedding as we had plenty of time to shoot so many cool details and also lots of time to get great photos of the newly married couple. Leslie and Collin were so sweet to eachother the whole evening and even without knowing them really well, it made me happy to see them together. Congratulations, guys! Enjoy your photos and *HERE* is your show!
